my first 49 weeks [nightcore megamix]

By trumbuthegn on December 18, 2022 3:44 pm

30 seconds of each of my efforts thus far with the tape playing at double speed revealing the arc of the 2222 theme.

i hope this submission is not in conflict with the WB rules, as it is intended as an original remix/megamix of previous work, not recycling

from 19:30 to 20:00 samples rootnode’s Morning Coffee (available from: https://weeklybeats.com/rootnode/music/morning-coffee) in the framework of the CC Attribution Noncommercial Share Alike (BY-NC-SA) license, and this is my attribution for sampling

This is sorcery, not sure I'm catching any arcs, I think it stays too long on a week to notice much of anything, and arguably it's missing two weeks, but this is probably the longest song I've heard here
Maybe a better example is our Medley Ultimus, which only does one bar per song

Yeah, ‘arc’ was probably too strong of a word. I was thinking of thematic similarities.

Probably right. I should perhaps have increased the speed by another 100% or 200% (the latter sounds like the pressing Fast forward and Play at the same time trick).

I tried an even longer one in eight years ago (https://weeklybeats.com/trumbuthegn/music/deep-relaxation----meditation----unwritten-letters----runes-----love----utstilstrekkelig-drunk-live--------nr). The 16 megabyte limit caused me to use a pretty low mp3 bit rate, but I kind of like the metallic artifacts that that brings.

To be continued there…

What a concept, great idea! This was fun trip. I did skip around a bit, new surprises at each click. There was a Disquiet Junto (weekly themed music project), that had something like this - take certain amount of time from past songs and put together, was fun to go back through the past.

Skiping around is probably the right way to listen to this as the transitions are not very interesting. Thanks!
